New Canon Camera Coming September 9th.

Canon has just teased a new Cinema Camera set to be officially announced on September 9th. Here's what we know so far.

The body appears to be Canon's take on the Sony FX3. This makes it clear that the camera is intended to be a direct competitor to one of Sony's most popular Cinema Cameras. It is has been rumored that the base of the camera is a Canon R5 Mark ii. That gives us an expected resolution of around 7K, with a similar 32MP Full-Frame BSI CMOS sensor from the R5 Mark ii.

We should expect to see internal Canon Raw as well as C Log formats, and Canon's incredible auto focus with Native RF glass. The body should be a welcome departure from Canon's typical Photo style bodies. We expect it to be much more comfortable to use when shooting.

Make sure to check out Canon USA's Instagram page for more info as it comes.
